MATRIX Lab High School Intern
Camille is in the STEM Academy at Great Mills High School and focuses on engineering and applied mathematics. During her internship, she is working with MATRIX Lab Manager Joe Copenhaver to 3D print different types of filament and test each one’s strength levels. Her goal for the internship is to find a passion she can focus on for her senior year case study, a research project done during the school year. She chose the internship because of the opportunity to learn more about 3D printing locally in Southern Maryland. She is skilled in SOLIDWORKS, Arduino, and advanced mathematics. She has participated in science fairs and the Botball robotics competition.
Camille has been on her school’s STEM track since 4th grade. She is also involved with her school’s National Honor Society, Student Government Association, and Mini-THON, which is an effort that raises funds and awareness for childhood cancer. She is also a swimmer and competes on a club team as well as her school’s team.
