Joe is the MATRIX Research Lab Manager for the University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM). He supports research, and manages the safety and training infrastructure for lab spaces and equipment. His goal is to expand research in autonomous technologies, uncrewed systems, AI, and machine learning.
Before this, Joe was a Mechanical Technician. He has more than 12 years of experience in the Defense and Aerospace Industry working with rapid prototyping through additive and subtractive manufacturing. He came to the MATRIX Lab for the opportunity to support and interact with new systems, autonomy, and uncrewed systems at one of the nation's preeminent public research universities.
