The SPARK! Student Career Awareness Fair is designed to engage students with hands-on demonstrations and interactive learning experiences. It provides students with face-to-face interactions and the opportunity to speak with professionals from organizations including the Navy, other government organizations, health, commercial enterprises, and trades. High school students from Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties participate, as well as St. Mary’s Ryken and home school students.

The 4th Annual SPARK! Student Career Awareness Fair will be Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the USMSM SMART Building - 44219 Airport Rd, California, MD 20619

• Learn about career options in St. Mary's County
• Get insight about the path required to reach a specific career (classes, certifications, majors, etc)
• Try out hands-on activities 
• Connect with companies to learn about future internship and employment opportunities
