State leaders visit USMSM and MATRIX Lab

USMSM and the MATRIX Lab were glad to welcome Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Mike Gill, Maryland State Senator Jack Bailey, and Lisa Swoboda, Senior Director, Office of Military & Federal Affairs, Maryland Department of Commerce this week.

Their group toured the facilities in USMSM's SMART Building, including those a part of the MATRIX Lab.

They went inside the MATRIX's Hydrology Lab, which features a 17,000 gallon water tunnel.

They also saw the SMART Building's Grand Hall, which is available to rent and reserve through USMSM.

They wrapped up the tour outside the MATRIX Lab's Project Assembly Area, a large work area featuring snorkeled and in-table utilities, collaborative work spaces, and industrial fume hoods.
